Sveti Tomaž and Velika Nedelja
You can freshen up at a farm and visit the wine-makers along your way. Learn about local heritage and visit the Railway Museum and Castle in Velika Nedelja.
Start your day in Osluševci, where you will be awaited by representatives of the Prleški železničar Cultural Heritage Conservation Society at the old railway station. You will see the Museum, which is arranged in an old wagon (prior announcement is desired).
You can then continue your journey through the settlements of Cvetkovci and Trgovišče, where you can buy a number of delicacies at local farmers’ (pumpkin-seed oil, meat products, honey, vegetables, etc.).
After that, you will arrive in Velika Nedelja, which features a Castle with four towers inviting you for a visit from afar.
After the tour of the Castle, we recommend a stroll through Velika Nedelja, which you may extend to the Ozmec Tourist Farm. The hosts there will welcome you with open arms and do their best to fulfil your every desire. You can also visit a small carpentry museum.
We suggest you head out to the settlement of Sveti Tomaž, which is a few kilometres away. Visit the Savci fish pond, where you can have a true fishing experience. The hills surrounding Sveti Tomaž shelter a great many small locally authentic straw-covered outbuildings and vineyard cottages built of logs and covered with mud. You can also visit one of them, i.e. the Brumen Museum Cellar. The latter has a 255-year-old history and is one of the best conserved specimens in Europe.
