There is a very interesting story behind the walls of Ormož Castle, which was built in 1278. At that time, Rudolf of Habsburg allowed Frederick of Ptuj to build the present-day castle in Holmurs. It has a beautiful castle park and a rich history, famous for the last owner of the castle, the controversial Countess Irma, a lover of snakes and exotics. Today, the castle's premises are home to the unique Castle Repair Shop, the only one in Slovenia that combines the past and the present and takes us into the future. Experience nostalgia at every turn in this special castle environment. In the Reuse Centre you can try your hand at sewing, crocheting, knitting, board games from the past and other skills that are now dying out. There's nothing to run out of, everything is catered for. The magical Castle Café Repair Shop takes you back in time to experience the beauty of time and nostalgia. You can always enjoy a good cup of home-made coffee, which you can brew yourself in a slightly different way - in the sand baths.
